He returned to Spain to study and received a degree in Screenwriting at the Pontifical University of Salamanca.
Career[edit]
He made his debut in 2013 with 15M: a city wakes up, a documentary film about the Spanish anti-austerity protests made in collaboration with José Luis Sampedro, which was selected for the Málaga Film Festival and the Toulouse Spanish Film Festival.[1]
His first narrative short films Closet, starring Pepe Viyuela and Black Bass starring Antonio de la Torre,[2] went on to receive around twenty awards at national film festivals.[3][4] Narwani went on to found his own Film production company, Bazar films around 2020.[5]
El Bazar De Mis Padres, his latest documentary, recently held its international premiere at the BlackStar Film Festival.[6] The autobiographical film portrays a diaspora family of Indian traders in Spain and the closure after four decades of the near-mythical family business, Kirpa Bazaar.
He is currently writing his first narrative feature-length film, El Gran Bazar De Mis Padres, based on the story of his family, together with the support of the Malaga Festival and the tutorship of the Catalan filmmaker Carla Simón.[7]
