Ralf or Ralf Richardson da Silva (June 15, 1961) is a country singer and a former member of the duo Chrystian & Ralf with whom he sang with his brother Chrystian.
Biography
Ralf began his career at the age of 9, becoming the youngest vocalist in Brazil. He recorded professionally in English and Portuguese as a soloist and vocalist, and also participated in albums and tours of renowned Brazilian music artists, such as Rita Lee, Roberto Carlos, Fábio Jr., among others. He did vocals for 16 record companies and labels. In Brazil and abroad during the 1970s and 1980s, he recorded under several pseudonyms, such as "Don Elliot", "Ralf Richardson", "Ralph Richardson", "Little Robinson", among others, singing in English. Ralf also won a gold record in Mexico and topped the charts in Europe with the song "Lies".
In the early 1980s, the duo Chrystian and Ralf were able to record country music, as they already had a certain reputation. They remained together until 1999, when news of the separation of the duo shocked fans and the artistic community. According to the duo, their coexistence on and off the stage had become strained. Soon both decided to pursue solo careers. Ralf released the CD *Solo Italiano*, in December 2000, with re-recordings of great country music hits interpreted in the Italian language. In May 2001, the brothers met again and officially announced the return of their successful partnership, which lasted until 2021 when they decided to pursue solo careers separately.[1][2]
