Ramesh Indira is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter and actor who works in Kannada cinema. He is best known for directing the drama Premier Padmini (2019) and for his later work in streaming content with the web series Ayyana Mane (2025). As an actor, Indira has appeared in films such as Kotee (2024) and Kamal Sridevi (2025).[1]

Career

Indira made his directorial debut with the Kannada film Premier Padmini in 2019, a family drama that received positive attention for its performances.[2]

In 2025, he returned to directing with Ayyana Mane, a Kannada-language web series produced by Shruti Naidu. Indira also wrote the series, which he described as an attempt to broaden the scope of Kannada storytelling on streaming platforms.[3]

As an actor, Indira has taken on supporting roles in several Kannada films. His performance in Kotee (2024) was noted as part of the film’s ensemble,[4] and he later appeared in Kamal Sridevi (2025).
