Vijay Kumar Dogra is an Indian actor, writer, and director. He has primarily worked in supporting roles in Hindi films and web series, including 12th Fail (2023), Sonchiriya (2019), and Khakee: The Bihar Chapter (2022). He has also written and directed short films that have been screened at Indian film festivals.[1][2]
Career
Vijay Kumar Dogra was born and raised in New Delhi. He graduated from Motilal Nehru College, University of Delhi. He received theatre training at the Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts and worked with various theatre groups. Dogra began his film career in the 2010s, appearing in character roles. His notable film appearances include Kanhaiya’s brother-in-law in Talvar (2015), Dr. Bhadoriya in Sonchiriya (2019), and a peon in 12th Fail (2023). He has also appeared in several web series, such as Delhi Crime, Aspirants, and Kota Factory.[3]As a writer and director, Dogra's short film Zindagi Roshan Hai, which deals with academic pressure on students, was screened at the 10th International Film Festival of Shimla in 2024.[1][4] His documentary Reserve Women’s Rights was part of the official selection in the National Competition at the Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) in 2024.[2]
