Ramon Sean Rivas (born February 9, 1980),[1] known professionally as Ramon Rivas a.k.a 9000, is an American production engineer, record executive, songwriter and a record producer.[2][3] Born in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York City, U.S., Ramon Rivas is perhaps best known for engineering several Grammy award-winning albums for recording artists such as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Justin Bieber and Alicia Keys[4]. Thereafter, Rivas connected with Mel Testamark and signed a publishing in-house deal with So So Def Recordings as an in-house engineer.
At 17 Rivas joined So So Def Recordings In 1998, Rivas moved to Atlanta after he was offered a full time position with the label by founder, Jermaine Dupri.
