Ranulfo Candila Docdocan (born June 12, 1991) is a Filipino local television news anchor and reporter in Tacloban City. He formerly anchored the ABS-CBN's regional local newscast TV Patrol Eastern Visayas. He was recognized as Best TV Male Anchor of the Year in 2023 during the Pagdasig Awards 2023.[1]
Early life and career
Docdocan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (ABCOM) at Leyte Normal University in Tacloban City.
He is the eldest among seven siblings and was born in Dulag, Leyte.
He was a radio drama talent before joining ABS-CBN Tacloban.
He joined as a reporter with ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs in 2008, and became a news anchor and reporter, also a segment anchor of Hoy Gising! known as Mr. “Hoy Gising” of TV Patrol Eastern Visayas.
He also hosted the local program Ano Ngani! produced by Regional Network Group, and formerly anchored TV Patrol Eastern Visayas (previously known as TV Patrol Tacloban), which he replaced Clifford Nolido who had transferred to ABS-CBN Iloilo as station manager.
