Rastislav Vasicka (Slovak: Rastislav Vašička; born 1985) is a Slovak expert in Information Technology, a serial entrepreneur, one of the founders and CIO of CoDeTech[1], a blockchain solutions company, and one of the founders of Core Blockchain[2][3], with 13 years of experience in the Visual Arts, Analytical Consulting, Television, Blockchain, and Digital Asset sectors.

Early life[edit]

Vasicka was born in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava, in 1985. Growing up, he ventured into multiple fields of studies at several Slovak universities, such as the STU (Slovak University of Technology), FEI UK (Faculty of Information Technology at the Comenius University In Bratislava), and the Faculty of Mass Media at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava.

His first working experience comes from Slovak television channels TV Markíza[4] and TV LUX[5]. Later he worked in public administration in Bratislava, where he was deepening his social skills, such as empathy and philanthropy, which have stayed with him throughout his life until now.

Professional Career[edit]

Early Successes and Creating Job Positions[edit]

In 2014, he was participating in ISTP.sk[6][7], providing a free online service to the unemployed, namely a diagnosis of their labor potential and adequate follow-up searches of open positions. Participation continues on the European Job Mobility Portal (EURES)[8][9], a cooperative network that connected the previously 28 European Union countries and provided a better way of work-related movement for all the EU citizens, Switzerland Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.

Core Blockchain[edit]

In 2013, Vasicka started working on and fully deploying new blockchain technology — the Core Blockchain[2]. He contributed to developing a new programming language, which he called Ylem[10], after the “hypothetical original substance or condensed state of matter, which became subatomic particles and elements as we understand them today.” — Ylem

Vasicka described Ylem as “a statically-typed curly-braced programming language”[11] that serves to provide a way of executing smart contracts on the Core Coin Virtual Machine.

One of his greatest accomplishments of Vasicka when creating the blockchain was his successful implementation of the most advanced cryptography to date, the Edwards’ curve Goldilocks ED448 curve.[12]

Core Decentralized Technologies[edit]

In 2014, Vasicka co-founded and took the role of a CIO at CoDeTech[1][13][14], Core Decentralized Technologies, together with Ockert Loubser as CEO and Michael Loubser as Chairman. The company has been developing blockchain-based software solutions for everyday life, as well as the world’s first digital identity verification and compliance application.

Together with his partners, Ockert Loubser and Michael Loubser, Vasicka started developing multiple platforms based on the new blockchain, to not only bring about natural demand for the native currency of the Core Blockchain — the Core Coin (XCB)[15][16] — and its smart contract Core Token (CTN)[17][18] but also provide means of connectivity around the world.

The trio has developed the world’s first decentralized digital identity, the CorePass application, which digitizes and verifies basic documents, such as IDs, Passports, or Driver's Licenses, and thus provides for safe authentication in the online sphere.[19]

Core Decentralized Technologies (CoDeTech) also further developed a whole ecosystem[20] of decentralized applications and platforms such as Ping Exchange, the TiNG & MeeTiNG video streaming and calling platforms, the TokToKey e-commerce platform, and more.

Other Achievements[edit]

Rastislav Vasicka is well-versed in a multitude of programming languages, including Ylem, Golang, Rust, Solidity, Node.js, C++, Pascal (programming language), Delphi (software), Ruby on Rails, JavaScript. With skills to deploy on Arduino, Linux, Docker (software).

Current and past memberships:

During his life, Vasicka has visited several countries for the purpose of business ventures, including the Philippines (Mesh connectivity, social system improvements), the USA (private and state sector), Israel (Blockchain verifications), Germany (hardware development), Malta (Blockchain government framework), Andorra (Blockchain government framework), and Romania (Health management in Blockchain).

Vasicka is currently further developing Dapps[23] around the recently released Core Blockchain (May 6, 2022), including the above-mentioned Ping, Ting, and CorePass, and working on the Luna Mesh Network’s deployment around the world. Moreover, he is an integral part of several other CoDeTech-related projects, such as the CorePass Association, or Blockchain Hub, and other personal endeavors, such as IT security consultation, ITO and token development, and more.

Philanthropy[edit]

Connectivity as a Human Right and Environment[edit]

Along with Core Blockchain, Vasicka developed the Lunaº Mesh Network, which is to provide connection even in the furthest reaches of the globe through a system of oracles and “can stream connectivity within the communities using the mesh topology”[24], even without the internet connection, endorsing the company’s vision of connectivity as a human right.

Moreover, the Core Blockchain goes in line with all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”)[25] of the United Nations and presents itself as the fastest, most scalable, most secure, and most eco-friendly blockchain to date.
