Ravi Prakash Mehrotra
Ravi Prakash Mehrotra[1][2] is an advocate in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. His father was Prakash Mehrotra, who was a member of Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the Parliament of India, representing the State of Uttar Pradesh from 3 April 1976 to 9 August 1981 and served as the Indian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and as the Governor of Assam and of Meghalaya (10 August 1981 – 28 March 1984).
He[3][4]has served as the Senior Counsel[5][6] to the Union Government and represented State Governments[7][8] in important cases[9][10] in the Supreme Court of India.[11][12]
He[13][14] also served as [15][16]Special Counsel of Government of India (Ministry of Home Affairs) & Archaeological Survey of India, in the Ram Janam Bhumi-Babri Masjid (Ayodhya) dispute before a Special Full Bench of Allahabad High Court from 1995 to 2010.[17][18]
He[19][20] has filed and argued [21][22] PILs in areas of [23]disaster management, administrative reforms, [24]wasteful government advertisements, [25]cruelty to animals on behalf of the NGO, Foundation for Restoration of National Values (FRNV).[26]
