ReAmped Energy is an independent online Australian energy retailer[1] selling electricity to customers in New South Wales and South East Queensland. Headquartered in Brisbane, the company was established in 2017 and began taking on customers in September 2018[2]. In early 2019, the company was profiled by 9 News Australia as Queensland’s cheapest electricity retailer according to the government comparison website Energy Made Easy.[3]

Founding director and CEO Jason Donald had 23 years experience managing high performing teams in energy trading and risk management before forming ReAmped Energy.[4] The company’s founders have ties with the award-winning New Zealand online electricity retailer Electric Kiwi, established in 2014.[5][6] Due to the success of Electric Kiwi and the similarities between the New Zealand and Australian electricity retail markets, ReAmped Energy was formed to offer a similar online-only model to Australian electricity consumers.[7]
