ReAnimator Coffee is a Philadelphia-based coffee roaster and cafe chain. The company operates five cafes, in Fishtown, Kensington, South Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, and Port Richmond.[1]

History[edit]

ReAnimator's Kensington location opened in 2014.[2] ReAnimator's roasting facilities and flagship location are located in Kensington.[3][4] ReAnimator's employees unionized in 2022.[5][6] As of September 2023, ReAnimator employees and employees at other unionized coffee shops in Philadelphia did not have a contract.[6]

The owners also operated Philadelphia restaurant Res Ipsa and donut shop Hello Donuts.[7]

Eeva[edit]

ReAnimator's owners announced plans to expand their flagship to include a pizzeria in 2019.[8] The pizzeria, Eeva, initially opened in 2020.[9]

Sydney McElwee, in a review published by The Infatuation, referred to ReAnimator's Kensington location as its "nicest looking" and praised ReAnimator's coffee as "some of the best" in Philadelphia.[10]
