Voith & Mactavish Architects LLP is a Philadelphia-based architecture firm founded in 1988 by Daniela Holt Voith and Cameron Mactavish. The firm is now led by Daniela Holt Voith and John Cluver, and works across academic, cultural, religious, residential and historic preservation projects.

Planning & Design for Education[edit]

The firm's primary areas of focus are higher education and private primary/secondary school typologies, often moving fluidly from planning into design. They have worked extensively on various university and private school campuses in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Institutions include Vassar College, Rutgers University, Drexel University, University of Pennsylvania, The Lawrenceville School, and The Hotchkiss School.

The firm is widely recognized for creating learning environments that facilitate cross-disciplinary learning and collaboration, such as the Kenneth K.T. Yen Humanities Building at the Pennington School,[1] and the Biotech Commons at the University of Pennsylvania.[2][3]

Voith & Mactavish Architects is most known for its contextual preservation of historic buildings, including designated National Historic Landmarks, across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic United States. In addition to campus projects, the firm has also rehabilitated houses in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square and Society Hill.
