Rebecca Vogels
Rebecca Vogels (born March 11, 1984) is a German entrepreneur, CEO of Big Picture Group, author and keynote speaker. She is an expert in stories and storytelling.
Career[edit]
Rebecca Vogels studied violin, eventually completing a PhD in Music History. She studied at Harvard University, Columbia University, the University of Vienna and the Universität der Künste, Berlin.
During her time at Harvard she was involved in the organisation of 2013’s German Conference. It took place from February 15-16. The program included Keynotes from the German politicians Ursula von der Leyen, Joschka Fischer and Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier as well as a speech of former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Wesley Clark.[1]
After earning her doctorate, Rebecca Vogels left academia. Together with her brother Tobias Vogels she founded Pfiff Media, a platform for content creation.[2]
In 2017, Vogels joined the Salesforce Incubator in San Francisco for start-ups. During the Incubator, Rebecca was introduced to the “story first, product second” concept which has become the basis of her career since. After the Incubator, she returned to Europe, aiming to bring this new storytelling concept to the continent.[3]
Since 2016, Rebecca Vogels has been writing the “Women in Tech” column for Huffpost. Over the years, she has talked to various talented female leaders, founders and investors from Silicon Valley's tech industry for the column.[4]
Rebecca also writes for Forbes Magazine, where she has been a contributor since 2018. She frequently publishes columns about storytelling for business.[5] Other writing credits include t3n[6], ENTREPRENEUR[7] and Der Standard[8]. In summer 2018 Vogels also published a multi-part column about her time in New York for WOMAN magazine[9]. Recently she got featured in SWR3's podcast "Promi-Talk mit Thees"[10].
In 2020, her book on personal storytelling “Erzähl dein Leben neu!” was published by Knaur Verlag, Munich.[11]
Since 2018, Vogels has taught International Leadership and Management at Lauder Business School in Vienna.[12]
Rebecca Vogels founded the Big Picture Group. As CEO, she works with her team to develop stories for public figures, companies and campaigns.

Rebecca lives with her husband Benjamin Vogels in Vienna.
Awards[edit]
In 2018 Rebecca Vogels was featured as one of the Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Tech by California Diversity Council.[13]
In the same year, she was shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the year at the Women IT Awards, Silicon Valley.[14]
