}} Reed Richards is a fictional character and the secret identity of the Mister Fantastic in the Tim Story Fantastic Four films, adapted from the comic-book character of the same name created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. He is portrayed by Ioan Gruffudd. This rendition of Mister Fantastic follows the Tim Story duology of Fantastic Four, and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, also appearing in video game adaptations.
As depicted in the films, Reed is the owner of the Baxter Building and the founder of the Fantastic Four.
This depiction has received mixed reviews, with praise given to Gruffudd's performance.

Reed Richards went aboard the Von Doom Industries shuttle and warned Victor Von Doom about the cloud accelerating to Ben Grimm. As Ben Grimm arrived, he and the rest of the employees at the shuttle were touched by the rays of the cloud. At the nursing home, Reed noticed that his skin can become elastic. As he saw Sue, Johnny and Ben with their superpowers, he believed that they contracted a virus from the cloud that gives them superpowers.
Rise of the Silver Surfer[edit]
He and Sue were getting ready for their wedding at the Baxter Building before they saw the Silver Surfer. Reed told Johnny to follow it. Johnny came back and switched powers with Reed.
