Greg Valentine (born Sept 2nd, 1996) known on YouTube as Reflowable, or Reflow, is a Canadian YouTuber known for his gaming videos. He also has another channel, 'Top 5 Best' , where he uploads educational videos. Greg has over 2 million subscribers & 250 million views on the Top 5 Best Channel, and 30,000 subscribers on Reflowable.[1]
Although the Reflowable channel was created back in 2015, Greg Valentine, not to be confused with WWE hall of fame star Greg "The Hammer" Valentine[2] had a channel Butterarmour he started in 2011 where he uploaded Minecraft videos. After the first 23 videos, he actually stopped uploading to focus on post secondary school education. According to Greg's draw-my-life video, he went to college for graphic design where he learned how to edit thumbnails and videos.
When Reflowable realized that YouTube was a career opportunity for him, he started to upload daily from August 2016. At this time, the channel was about Minecraft Let's plays. On his 19th birthday, Sept 2nd, 2016, he achieved 15,000 subscribers. Around this time, he completed his education and focused on YouTube full-time. Reflowable also used to make cryptocurrency videos, and gave his insights on the market.[3]
Behind Reflowable's Name[edit]
Reflowable during a class in college wanted to create a domain name for his website design freelancing service he wanted to offer to his community. During a graphic design class he learned about Reflowable epub documents. He also, searched the internet and found the definition "Capable of being formed into a different shape by flowing."[4]
Minecraft Livestreaming[edit]
When Reflowable for the first time uploaded a Minecraft video in September 2011, he realized how big the game really was. Reflowable began to focus only on live streaming Minecraft in 2015, as it was a new feature on YouTube. For almost a year he kept livestreaming, he rarely made videos on any other games. Minecraft helped give Reflowable a perfect fan base for the future.
Top 5 Best[edit]
After the success of Reflowable on YouTube, he realized that making a list channel alike fellow YouTube channel, watchmojo.com and gain more traction. Greg gained over 2,700,000 in a short two years.[5][6][7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] He accredits a lot of his success to the band Twenty One Pilots as they were who he made the first video on the channel about. He also made videos on figures such as Zoella and Jenna Marbles going over how much these YouTube personalities make from their channels. Top 5 Best is the 1960th most subscribed YouTuber[15] in the world.
Bottle Flips[edit]
It wasn't until the trend (Bottle flipping) came about when Reflowable really took off. He would showcase the best bottle flip [16] videos on the internet, and it became the most famous series on his channel Top 5 Best. Reflowable is one of the most notable figures who helped create the bottle flip trend is Top 5 Best on YouTube or "Reflowable" who was one of the first to create videos on the matter. Reflowable amassed over 50 Million unique viewers on his bottle flip video series.
