Regalias Digitales

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Regalias Digitales LLC is an independent music publishing administration and royalty collection company founded in 2014. The company provides royalty collection, publishing administration, and rights management services for songwriters, recording artists, producers, and music publishers. Its services include the collection of performance royalties, mechanical royalties, neighboring rights royalties, YouTube-generated royalties, and synchronization income from film, television, and digital media uses. The company is currently a Top 100 United States music publisher and has been a member of the National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA) ‘Team 100’ for the past two years.

The company was founded by music executive Josh Arón Norek, a former vice president of Nacional Records, co-founder of the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC)[1], and co-host of the syndicated public radio program The Latin Alternative[2]. Although Regalias Digitales initially focused on representing Latin music creators and rights holders, the company subsequently expanded its roster to include artists and publishers across multiple musical genres.

Regalias Digitales’ music publishing clients include popular hip-hop artists like Big Boi (Outkast), Lloyd Banks, Lil Gnar, OMB Peezy, Eric Bobo (Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys)[3] and SOB x RBE; prominent rock acts like Primus, Ween, The Warning[4] and The Used; legendary Latin artists such as Daddy Yankee, Los Tigres del Norte, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Grupo Codiciado, Canserbero[5]); EDM stars Said The Sky[6] and Bonnie X Clyde; and the publishing catalogs of leading Regional Mexican labels like Afinarte. Regalias Digitales also represents reggae stars SOJA, Stick Figure, Collie Buddz, Steel Pulse and Tribal Seeds; and popular Caribbean / dancehall artists such as KES The Band, Machel Montano, Travis World and Destra.

Due to company president Josh Norek’s extensive ties with Argentina’s musical community, Regalias Digitales also represents the heirs of many of the country’s most iconic tango, rock and folkloric artists including Astor Piazzolla, Soda Stereo, Carlos Gardel and Mercedes Sosa.

In recent years Regalias Digitales has acquired the music publishing catalogs of several artists, including Likybo, Juan Gotti, J Swey, Bill $aber, Beeda Weeda, producer Branden Cox (Icewear Vezzo, Young Thug) and Swifty Blue.[1]
