Eyal Reginiano (Hebrew: אייל רג'יניאנו‎, born 6 January 1985) is an Israeli award winning musician known professionally as Reginiano.

His music combines different genres such as folk, rock, jazz, classical and world music.

The lyrics, compositions and arrangements are the work of Reginiano, who plays different instruments, sings and works with various performers.

Biography[edit]

Eyal Reginiano was born and raised in Ramat Hasharon, Israel. His education is mostly self-taught but he also studied in Rimon school of music and as a student of Noam Sheriff.[1]

In 2010 his first album My Unpolished Diamond was released. The album featured musicians such as Meir Israel and Ofer Pinhas.[2]

In 2012 he released his second album: Alina. It is a concept album with 5 chapters, combining Folk, Tango and Classical music.[3]

In 2013 Reginiano won the Rimon College composers contest with the piece "Thinking of Chopin".[4]

In 2014 he published the animated video "Ein Od Milvado" (אין עוד מלבדו) - a satire about human society, that acts like a herd, without thinking for itself.[5]

In 2015 he wrote music for and performed with the modern acapella choir Vocalocity. They performed with the music in Israel and in Denmark.[6]

In 2016 Reginiano released the album Black n Grey. The album featured musicians such as Michael Haran, Victor Stanislavsky and Keren Hadar.[7]

Since 2019 he published singles receiving international recognition with awards from Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin, Dubai and Tokyo.[8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13]

The song and music video Home Again featuring Keren Hadar was released during the COVID quarantines and won best COVID film and best music in Tokyo's International Cosmopolitan Film Festival.[9]

The song Turning Dark featuring the singer Morten Kjær was released in 2021 and won multiple international awards.[8] [10] [11] [12] [13]

For performing live concerts he founded the Reginiano Project and Trio, featuring virtuoso musicians on vocals, guitar, cümbüs saz, piano, violin, contrabass and drums.[14]
