Relode is an Healthcare recruiting[disambiguation needed] company founded in 2014[1] and launched in 2015 that utilizes a crowd-sourcing model. The gig economy has been changing the face of many industries, and some have suggested Relode’s model may play a disrupting role in the $23 billion Health care staffing industry.[2] The website offers job openings for nurses, physicians and healthcare IT professionals who can either look for jobs or refer people for positions to earn a reward.[3]
According to Recruiting Daily, Relode’s marketplace is similar to what Shipt was doing before Target acquired it—using healthcare employers, healthcare employees and agents.[4] Anyone can join the platform as an agent to make referrals in exchange for payment.[4]

Relode was founded by Matt Tant, who graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in human organizational development.[5]
In November 2017, Relode was valued by regulators at $8.1 million.[6]
In April 2019, Relode was ranked the 8thfastest growing company in Tennessee by GrowJo with total funding listed at $9.5 million.
