MONQ

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

MONQ (pronounced /mʌŋk/) is a health & wellness brand whose flagship product is the portable aromatherapy diffuser. MONQ is an acronym for Modified Observation of Natural Qualia.[1] The portable diffuser that MONQ created differs from a typical oil diffuser because their product directly inserts aromatherapy into your olfactory system[2] MONQ diffusers heat liquids to 215 degrees Celsius. After mixing with room-temperature air, the mist hits the mouth at room temperature. The product is recommended not to be inhaled but rather breathed in through the mouth and exhaled through the nose, so the aromas reach the olfactory bulb. This transmits the scent information from the nose to the brain.[3] MONQ has over 10 blends including one named Healthy that contains a trifecta of anti-inflammatory ingredients and Sleepy which includes the sleep inducing substance, valerian.[4] The company was founded in 2014 by Eric Fishman MD, a retired orthopedic surgeon and yogi. MONQ operates in the Nashville area and has 45 employees.[5]
