Renault had the idea of reviving the Renault 4L. In 2009, Renault started developing the new Renault 4L. Unfortunately Renault scrapped the idea and reworked the project as the first generation Dacia Duster.[1]
The Renault 4L 4WD had a similar front end with the old generation with the headlights inside the grille. At the rear, the car looks more like the current Duster. The car was never launched due to unknown reasons, but the idea grew into what we know today as the Dacia Duster.[2][3] Information about the project is very rare and hard to find.
