Reply to the Arecibo message
The Reply to the Arecibo message is a 2001 crop circle appeared next to the Chilbolton radio telescope in Hampshire, UK.
Opinions[edit]
Will Stanton explains in his book Education Revolution, why the crop circle appeared next to the [1]Chilbolton radio telescope in Hampshire, UK. The crop circle is the answer and reply to the Arecibo message :
- In 1974, Carl Sagan and Frank Drake designed a binary code radio transmission … and sent it into the globular star cluster M13, 25,000 light years away … It was sent from the Arecibo radio-telescope in Puerto Rico. In August of 2001 … a very peculiar crop circle appeared next to the Chilbolton radio telescope in Hampshire, UK. It was a direct reply to Sagan and Drake's message.[2]
John Living explains in his book Intuition Technology, that the reply added the coding for silicon to those sent in the Arecibo message as the elements of life. The reply also indicates a variation in the DNA strands:
- Two of the most intriguing crop circles appeared next to the Chilbolton radio telescope in England in 2001… the most controversial crop square appeared, which researchers agreed was a binary code which closely resembled the binary-coded interstellar radio transmission sent by NASA in 1974 from the Arecibo observatory in Puerto Rico. Some parts differed – to indicate a variation in the DNA strands and a short legged person with a big head and the coding for silicon was added to those sent originally as the elements of life.
Dr. J.A. Kroth, Professor at the Santa Clara University (CA) who has published seven books and has written and presented over 65 papers,[3]explains in his book Aliens and Man? A Synopsis of Facts and Beliefs his own opinion:
- But if it is genuine, preliminary interpretations would suggest that our alien cousins live in a solar system of nine planets, comprise a society with a population of 21 billion beings, possess similar DNA which involves silicon in some manner, and are approximately 3.5 feet tall!.[4]
