Requestly is a cross platform tool which enables developers to intercept & modify network requests. Requestly provides an easy to go solution to test APIs running in production environments, test on their local instances, and deploy confidently.
Developers can upload, create and manage files in the mock server. In addition, the rules[2] can also be imported, exported and developers can also share these rules with fellow developers. Logical grouping of Rules can be done further, which allows better management of related rules.
Requestly was started as a hobby project in 2014 and was selected by Y Combinator for its Winter 2022 cohort[3]
Requestly is currently available as both desktop app[4] and browser extension supporting all major browsers including Google Chrome[5], Microsoft Edge[6] and Firefox.
Features[edit]
- Multiple Rule Types: Requestly supports multiple rule types to cater for user needs of modifying network requests, including Redirection, User-Agent Modification, Script Insertion, Resource Blocker and Header Modification.
- Rule Marketplace: Requestly has an inbuilt marketplace where some prebuilt rules are available for use.
- Regex & Wildcard Support: Requestly has a rich interface to provide URL matching conditions. Multiple Operators are supported - Equals, Contains, Regex (Matches) and Regex with wildcard too.
- Mock server: Requestly allows uploading, creating and managing JavaScript, CSS, JSON and other files, which can be used in Requestly rules. No need to set up a local server now.
- Automatic sync-up: Requestly allows developers to sync their rules on multiple devices.
- Data Backup: Requestly allows users to back up their data by downloading rules as text files or generating links.
