Redemption (Portuguese: Resgate) is a 2019 film written and directed by Mozambican Mickey Fonseca.[1] It is his first feature film.
It was screened at the Filmfest Hamburg and was nominated for the Category of Courageous Film Award.[2]

Plot
After four years in prison, Bruno (34 years old) is finally a free man and back in Maputo city, with his beloved girlfriend Mia and their baby. He finds a job at a scrapyard and lives an honest life when suddenly he is surprised by a bank summons referring to a loan his late mother took. He must pay, or the bank will foreclose on his house. Pressured, he comes up with a plan, putting his life and family in danger.
