A retro-style automobile is a vehicle that is styled to appear like cars from previous decades. Often these cars use modern technology and production techniques.

Retro-inspired styling
Some car designers choose to incorporate retro features into new models. While not necessarily retro styled, these cars may include features that pay homage to previous models. Examples include:
- 1996 Alfa Romeo 156 - The car features retro style front door handles.
- 1998 Bizzarini Kjara - The grille references arguably Bizzarini's most famous model, the Strada.
- 2005 Volkswagen Golf GTI - The GTI features the same red stripe around the radiator as the first generation model.
- 2009 Ferrari 458 - The 458 features a triple exhaust, a nod to the Ferrari F40.
- 2011 Dodge Charger - The car features retro style tail lights inspired by the original Dodge Charger.
- 2011 Honda CR-Z - The CR-Z features a similar rear end to its spiritual predecessor, the Honda CR-X.
- 2015 Jeep Renegade - The rear lights of the Renegade are styled to represent the cross stamped jerry cans that would be attached to a Willys MB during the Second World War.
- 2016 Bugatti Chiron - The spine running down the back end of the car reflects the art deco styling of Bugatti models from the 1930s, notably the Type 57sc Atlantic.
- 2018 Lincoln Continental 80th Anniversary Coach Door Edition - This car pays tribute to the 1961 Lincoln Continental which also featured coach doors.
- 2020 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 - Numerous Lamborghini officials have stated that this car references the Lamborghini Countach in some ways.
- 2022 DeLorean Alpha5 - Like the original DeLorean, the Alpha5 features gull-wing doors.
- 2022 Lamborghini Countach - Exterior Design Inspired fromthe Original Countach. But shares the Power Unit From Siàn and the platform with Aventador.
- 2024 Koenigsegg CC850 - To celebrate the 20 years anniversary of Koenigsegg's first production car CC8S, It pays homage to that car by various exterior design similarities.
