Alpha (officially the Alpha Motor Corporation) is an American automotive corporation which specializes in retro-styled electric vehicles. The company is based in Irvine, California, and was created as a response to concerns about automotive CO2 footprints, and was created in hope to reduce reliance on CO2. Alpha aims to start deliveries of their vehicles to customers by 2023.[1] As of April 2021, Alpha currently has 5 vehicles in their lineup. According to Alpha, their corporate policy does not allow them to "publicize details of the investment." Alpha also said that they would “make this information publicly available” once it achieves some milestones that they also did not disclose.[2]

Ace[edit]

Unveiled in December 2020, the Alpha Ace is a small, personal luxury coupe. The car has two seats (and an extra two for occasional storage) and 14 cubic feet of cargo space. The range is estimated to be over 250 miles and has a 0-60 time of 6 seconds, and has a single electric motor with a RWD powertrain. The car has a curb weight of 3,600 pounds and is 165 inches long, 75 inches wide, and has a height of 57 inches.[3][4]

Ace Performance Edition[edit]

The Alpha Ace Performance Edition is the more performance-oriented version of the Alpha Ace, a personal luxury coupe. The Ace PE has two electric motors with an AWD powertrain, and has a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds. The Ace PE is 200 pounds heavier than the standard Ace, and has an estimated range of 220 miles.[5]

Jax[edit]

The Alpha Jax is a compact crossover SUV. JAX stands for "Junior All-terrain Crossover (Xover)." The Jax follows the same design language as the Ace, but is 15 inches longer and accommodates four full-size seats and a pair of rear suicide doors. The Jax uses a single electric motor with a FWD powertrain, along with an optional dual-motor AWD powertrain. The Jax has a 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds, and has a range of 250 miles. The Jax has a towing capacity of 1850 pounds and has 62.5 cubic feet of cargo space. The Jax's dimensions are a length of 180 inches, a width of 76 inches, and a height of 64 inches.[6][7]

Wolf[edit]

The Alpha Wolf is a compact pickup truck. The Wolf shares its platform with Alpha's Jax CUV. The range is expected to be over 250 miles, and towing capacity in the 3,000 pound range. The Wolf's 0-60 time is 6.2 seconds. At 188 inches long, the Wolf's dimensions are similar to that of a single-cab Chevrolet S-10, but about 8 inches wider and 2.5 inches taller than the S-10. The Wolf is 76 inches wide and has a height of 66 inches. The Wolf's bed has 34.5 cubic feet of cargo space.[8][9]

Wolf+[edit]

The Alpha Wolf+ is an extended-cab, four-seat version of the standard Wolf, and is the second pickup truck model to debut in Alpha's lineup. The cab consists of suicide doors in the rear for easy access to the rear seats. Unlike the standard Wolf, the Wolf+'s standard powertrain offering is RWD (rather than FWD) and has a towing capacity of 6,724 pounds, which is more than double of that of the standard Wolf. The Wolf+ accelerates from 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, and has a cargo capacity of 40 cubic feet. The Wolf+ is 15 inches longer, 2 inches wider, and 3 inches taller than the standard Wolf.[10]
