Reza Bahram (Persian: رضا بهرام; born 11 January 1991) is an Iranian pop singer from Yazd. He became known in Iran after releasing “Az Eshgh Bego” in 2018. He later sang music for the television series Mamnooeh, performed at several editions of the Fajr International Music Festival, and appeared as a singer in the musical theatre production Si-Sad.[1]
Early life
Bahram was born in Yazd in 1991. He studied financial management at university before making music his main career.[1] Apple Music describes his work as pop music and lists Yazd as his home city.[2]
Music career
First releases
“Az Eshgh Bego” was released in 2018 and was one of Bahram’s first widely reported songs.[3] The composition is credited to Bahram and Hamed Dehghani, who later used the professional name HAMEX. Dehghani is also credited for the lyrics.[4][5]
Dehghani also worked as a writer or composer on several other early Bahram recordings. A report about one of Bahram’s concerts named “Gole Eshgh”, “Divaneh”, “Atash” and “Negar” among their joint works.[6]
Bahram also sang the title music for the second season of Mamnooeh, an Iranian home-video drama series. The second season began in January 2019.[7] Two songs connected with the series were “Moo Be Moo” and “Divaneh”.[8]
Concerts and stage work
In February 2020, Bahram performed two concerts at the 35th Fajr International Music Festival in Tehran.[1] He returned to the festival in later years. In February 2023, his concert was the final pop performance of the 38th festival. The programme included “Shabhaye Bad Az To”, “Bimar”, “Az Eshgh Bego”, “Moo Be Moo”, “Divaneh” and “Kash”.[9]
In late 2021, Bahram began a European concert tour after performing in Istanbul. He performed in London and Manchester, and further concerts were announced for Amsterdam, Vienna, Oslo, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Stockholm and Copenhagen.[10]
In 2022, Bahram was one of the singers in Si-Sad, a large musical theatre production performed at the Sa'dabad Complex in Tehran. The production was directed by Amir Jadidi, with music by Tahmoures Pournazeri and musical design by Sohrab Pournazeri. It combined live music with a story about events in Iranian history.[11]
Bahram's performance in Si-Sad received mixed reviews. His selection caused debate because he was mainly known as a pop singer, while the production also used elements of traditional Persian music. Maryam Darvish wrote that his early performances had weaknesses, but that he became more comfortable with the production over time.[12] Another review described Bahram as one of the production's main attractions, but criticised parts of the singing and the limited size of his role.[13]
Later work
Bahram received the best pop singer award at the first Ali Moallem Theatre and Music ceremony, also known as the Hafez Awards (Tandis-e Hafez), in July 2022. The award was given for his performance of “Asheghi Mamnoo”.[14][15]
He received the best pop singer award again at the third ceremony in March 2025.[16][17] His first full album, Nimi Az Man, was released in 2025.[2] He has continued to release singles, including “Bi Khabar” and “Che Konam” in 2025 and “Roozaye Roshan” in 2026.[2]
