Reza Shah, Bless Your Soul (Persian: رضا شاه روحت شاد) is a popular political slogan in Iran. This slogan was raised about 40 years after the overthrow of the Pahlavi dynasty in Iran.[1] Reza Shah, Bless Your Soul was shouted at by protestors for the first time in the anti-government demonstrations of January 2016 in Iran.[2] The range of interpretations of this slogan may include, in addition to praising Reza Shah and his actions, opposing the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Also, this slogan is considered as a kind of negation of the past actions in overthrowing the monarchy during the Iranian Islamic Revolution.[3]

For the first time in Iran's 2017 demonstrations in Mashhad and near the Goharshad Mosque, some protesters shouted "Reza Shah, Bless Your Soul".[2][4] This slogan was quickly heard in other cities by protestors. Reza Shah, Bless Your Soul was shouted many times in Qom, which is the capital of the authority of Shia clerics.[2] In 2017, this slogan was repeated many times. On the evening of Friday, May 7, 2017, the slogan "Reza Shah, Bless Your Soul" echoed in Tehran's Azadi Stadium. This slogan was shouted by the spectators during the Persepolis F.C. football match in Tehran.[5][6][7]
