Richard Joseph Gaikowski (March 14, 1936 - April 30, 2004) was an American Film director and writer.

Early life[edit]

Gaikowski was born on March 14, 1936 in Watertown, South Dakota to his parents Francis Gaikowski and Esther Gaikowski, He attended Webster High School and went to college at Northern State University [2].

Personal life[edit]

Richard served as a stint in the Army in the 1950s and he trained as a medic.

Arrest[edit]

In October 1965, Gaikowski was arrested for refusing to sign a traffic citation [3].

Death[edit]

Gaikowski died on April 30, 2004 at the age of 68 of Lung cancer in The San Francisco VA Medical Center. He was buried at Saint Ottos Cemetery [4].
