Richard Mckinney (US Marine)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Richard McKinney is an American Marine veteran who was deployed to the Middle East during wars.[1]

He wanted to bomb a mosque near his house in Muncie, Indiana. He visited an Islamic center in Muncie near his house and eventually converted to Islam.[2]

Biography[edit]

McKinney was raised in the Rust Belt and attended church camp. After high school, he joined the US Marine Corps.[3]

Due to his participation in Middle Eastern wars, he made up his mind to blow up a mosque in Muncie. His daughter, in second grade at that time, learned of McKinney's extreme hatred toward Muslims. She pleaded with him not to kill Muslims as she had a Muslim friend in school. This made McKinney reconsider his decision to detonate the mosque.[4][5]

He went to Muncie Islamic Center to know more about Islam. Eventually he converted to Islam.

McKinney became the president of that same Islamic Center.[6]
