Righ Frederick Knight (born July 18, 1991) is a Canadian Journalist from Vancouver. Knight is the author of The Cusco Theory (2012).
Early life and education
Knight is the 3rd cousin of Phil Knight and was born in Vancouver, BC. Frederick Atherly Knight is their common ancestor.
Career
Righ's journalism career started in early 2010 while writing for WIRED.
He is the author of The Cusco Theory (2012)[1]
Knight worked with CNN in 2015 as an analyst [2]
Knight was a member of Disney owned Maker Studios along with his eldest son Craven from 2015-2017 producing content for Warner Brothers, Marvel Studios, Lucas Films and others.
In early 2015, Knight created the idea of the People's Party of Canada on Facebook, the pages and subsequent groups gained a solid following of over 20,000 members in just a few weeks. The idea was later registered by Maxime Bernier in late 2018 for a 2019 election bid, the party is still growing today. [3]
In late 2015, Knight was targeted by Anonymous in a Youtube video and Twitter account that was subsequently terminated and removed. [4]
In January 2016, Knight was named by Kred as being in the top 1% of all advertising influencers [5]
Since January 2017, Knight has been writing blog articles on The Jerusalem Post.[6]
Since 2018, Knight has been a photojournalist for Global News. [7]
In 2020, Righ was a target of the Pegasus Project, a list of 50,000 phone numbers leaked to Forbidden Stories, and an analysis revealed the list contained the numbers of leading opposition politicians, human rights activists, journalists, lawyers and other political dissidents.[8]
Personal life
Knight married Ainsley Ivany on Oct 31, 2008. They have 5 children.
