Rio D. Caraeff is an American executive known for his work in the music video and entertainment industry. He is currently the Chief Commercial Officer at Syng. He began his professional career in the music industry in the early 1990s and has held various roles in different companies including Crunch Media, N2K, Propaganda Project, Capitol Records, Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Universal Music Mobile, eLabs at Universal Music Group, VEVO, and Magic Leap..[citation needed]

Caraeff began his professional career in the music industry in the early 1990s. His roles over the years have included:

  • Director of Software Engineering at N2K and Software Engineer at Propaganda Project (1995-1996)
  • Director of New Technology at Capitol Records (1996-1998)
  • Senior Director of Business Development at Sony Music Entertainment (1998-1999)

  • Vice President and General Manager of Universal Music Mobile (2005-2007)
  • Executive Vice President of eLabs at Universal Music Group (2007-2009)

  • Chief Commercial Officer at Syng (2021-present)

In addition to his executive roles, Caraeff has served on the Board of Governors at Otis College of Art and Design and as a Board Member at Austin City Limits.
