Rita Cikaqi
Rita Cikaqi (born Arbërita Cikaqi, June 12, 1993), is a model and actor from Suhareka in Kosovo.
Early Life and Education[edit]
She finished the primary school in "Shkëndija", in Suhareka (2000-2009), where at this time she represented the school in regional competitions in: Maths, Art and as a reciter, organized by the municipality of Suhareka. Furthermore, she went on to finish her highschool majoring in natural science in the gymnasium "Jeta e re" (2009-2011), in Suhareka. During her secondary education, she has been distinguished for the knowledge in Math’s in the municipality level, for painting and writing skills (mostly known for poetry and essays)[1], that were published in the school magazine and also for participating in the “Jehona” CAS". Furthermore, she went on to participate as an actress in the Suhareka acting group, in the play called” Lucky Time”[2]. This project was in collaboration with the German and Albanian actors which was shown in Kosovo, Germany and Poland (2009-2011). After graduating from high school, her love and passion for Math’s and Art in general, merge into the desire to study the field of Architecture. She started her studies in Architecture in 2011, as a dynamic and ambitious student, at the "Hasan Prishtina" University, in Prishtina. During her studies, she worked as an architect and an interior designer in various companies including Mabetex Group, a well-known worldwide company. In 2020 she graduated in a Master degree from the Faculty of Architecture, as an architect prepared to work to develop her ability at all stages of architectural projects.
Acting and Modeling Career[edit]
During this time Rita also was involved in acting and modeling. Furthermore, she has participated in many local TV shows and musical clips. Her acting skill has distinguished her as a rising star for the local cinematography.[3]

Acting: Breakthrough and recognition[edit]
Cikaqi's breakthrough came with her leading role as Era at the local Tv show "O sa Mire"[8] which was released in 2018 and brought her regional recognition. Cikaqi won the role over many local artists. Her role at "O sa mirë" brought Cikaqi another big project, namely the tv show "SHPK Nazi". A show that tries to address taboo topics that are in Kosovo including the usage of drugs, sex education etc. In response to questions regarding her stance on gender rights with respect to her character in O sa mire Cikaqi said: "I'm proud of my character. She has come a long way since the start, and shows an image of a strong women who can stand strong against many stigmas and further enhance herself[4].
Upcoming projects[edit]
When asked for her further projects, Cikaqi has confirmed that she is working in few acting and modelling projects. Including an upcoming movie that is expected to be shown in the Cinemas by the end of 2021. However, she has hinted that she will also continue to be part of the SHPK Nazi[4] but may also come back to "O sa mire".[9]
Personal life and other work[edit]
Cikaqi through many interviews has declared that is not in a relationship with anyone. She said that currently she is set to only further focus on herself and career. She also works as an architect for a worldwide known company "MABETEX".[9]
