Roast Magazine is an online magazine and newspaper focusing on stories and news related to the coffee industry. They are based in Portland, Oregon, and Madison, Wisconsin. They were found in 2012 by Connie Blumhardt, Nick Brown, and Clair Harriman.[1] Nick had went to college Michigan University and Texas University where he got a masters degree at both, and moved back to Portland to start writing articles on coffee culture.[2][3]

In 2016 they won the Macro Roaster of the year.[4] They are acclaimed in the field of coffee in the local culture around Portland.[5]

They also have a second magazine site called Daily Coffee News.[6]

iN 20 2021 Tony's Coffee was announced Roaster of the Year.[7] In 2023 the winners were Rabbit Hole Roasters for micro-roasters, and the winning macro roaster was Cafe Kreyol.[8][9][10][11]
