Rugged Maniac[edit]

In 2010, Dickens partnered with Brad Scudder, who had just successfully completed the first event of Rugged Maniac.[1] Their partnership resulted in strong growth and in 2013, caught the attention of ABC's TV show Shark Tank, where they received an investment of $1.75 million from billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban.[2]

Under Dickens' leadership, Rugged Maniac continued to grow into one of the most successful obstacle course race events in the US. He was named one of the "50 Most Influential People" in obstacle course racing by Mud and Adventure.[3]
