Robert C. Bush Jr., is an American entrepreneur who is the Founder and CEO of German-based Majlis Partners Gmbh.[1][2][3]

Education and Career[edit]

Bush graduated in 1987 from Amherst College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy. During his time at Amherst he served as the elected president of the student government body. He later pursued studies in international relations and international economics at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of the Johns Hopkins University.[4]

In 1996, Bush earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Virginia School of Law. He is a member of the New York City Bar Association and the American Bar Association.[4][5]

In 2000, he co-founded Marco Polo Network, which was later sold to the NYSE and the World Bank in 2006.[6]

In 2008, founded Majlis Partners in UAE, an investment advisor firm.[7][8][8][9][10][11][12]

Since 2016, he has served as an SME innovation advisor to the European Commission's Horizon 2020 research programme.

In 2019, he co-founded with NBA Hall of Famer and global humanitarian, Dikembe Mutombo, the Mutombo Coffee brand, a wholesale retailer of coffee, tea, cocoa, and flavored coffee.[13][14][15][14][16][17][18]

Bush also serves as an advisor to the UAE government.[5][19]

Bush also co-authored a European Commission JRC study on the use of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in the creation of innovation districts and science technology parks.[20][21]
