RoboCop Returns (aka RoboCop 5) is an upcoming American film directed by Abe Forsythe, and written by Justin Rhodes and Forsythe, from a story based on an unused script by original screenwriters Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner. It is the fifth film in the RoboCop franchise, but it ignores all other entries in the franchise other than the original 1987 film.
Production[edit]
On July 11, 2018, it was announced that a sequel to original 1987 RoboCop was in development, titled RoboCop Returns, with Neill Blomkamp set to direct.[1] Diana Cilliers would be designing the costumes for the film.[2] On August 15, 2019, Blomkamp left the movie.[3] On November 20, 2019, Abe Forsythe was set to direct.[4] There have been no further developments since.
