Roet

Roet is a Dutch-Jewish surname. The family name Roet originally comes from Amsterdam.[1][2] The name Roet is derived from the main character Ruth (Hebrew: רות) from the Book of Ruth, which is again written in the Dutch translation of the Tanakh under the name Roet (book Roet-Ruth).
