Roger Lawrence Harvey (born June 1, 1987) is an American singer-songwriter based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1] His debut album, Twelve Houses, was released by Black Numbers on October 9, 2015.[2][3] The album was recorded in Zelienople, Pennsylvania at The Wilderness Recording Studio by J. Vega.[4] His sophomore album, Two Coyotes, was released by Chunksaah Records on October 13, 2017.[5] Two Coyotes was followed by an EP, entitled Gold, self-released on October 19, 2018.[6] Both albums were recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at Ronnie's Place[7] by Justin Francis.[8] On tour, he is backed by his band The High Lifers.[9]
Career[edit]
Harvey grew up in the small town of Girard, Pennsylvania, where he fell in with the punk rock act The Code.[10] He started traveling full-time with bands at the age of 14 in 2002. When he was 17 years old he relocated to Brooklyn, New York where he worked a number of jobs & studied English at Marymount Manhattan College. He began writing & performing in New York City under the moniker Dandelion Snow.[11] He continued touring & released records on his own label Lion's Tooth Records, as well as on Lock & Key Collective & Big Bullet Records.[12][13] in 2010, he relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to front White Wives with Chris "#2" Barker of Anti-Flag.[14] Touring the US & Canada extensively with AWOLNATION, Rise Against, The Lawrence Arms, & many others.[15][16]
On February 15, 2014, Roger Harvey & The Wild Life made their debut appearance at Brillobox in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania while the group was still recording, Twelve Houses, at The Wilderness Recording Studio.[17] Twelve Houses was released on October 9th, 2015.[18] Harvey continued touring the world extensively with Tim Barry, The Menzingers, The Bouncing Souls, Against Me!, Frank Iero, & many others.[19][20][21][22]
On October 13, 2017, Harvey released his second full-length album titled Two Coyotes, followed by a four-track EP, Gold, on October 19, 2018.
