Tabuena; born December 3, 1968, is a Filipino pulmonologist and scientist "As a practicing pulmonologist and internist, his specialty is in the field of pulmonary medicine, specifically in interventional bronchoscopy. He had several publications as a lead researcher and co researcher in internationally and local recognized journals. After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Medical Techonology degree from Southwestern University in 1989, Doc Rollin finished his Doctor of Medicine degree in West Visayas State University in 1994. He got his Residency at Iloilo Mission Hospital in 1999 and Fellowship Training in Pulmonary Medicine at Veterans Memorail Medical Center in 2001. " [1]
In recognition of significant studies and researches in the field of Pulmonary Medicine specifically interventional bronchoscopy, his studies on interstitial lung diseases emphasized the significance of bronchoalveolar lavage as a tool to provide clinico. pathologic baseline information to develop a novel strategy to treat this type of chronic progressive pulmonary fibrosis in the near future. As evidence of his outstanding performance and commitment in his chosen field, he has authored and co-authored many scientific medical papers that have impact on health sciences in general and pulmonary medicine in particular. Moreover, as a Monbukagusho Fellow in Respiratory Medicine in Kyoto University, Japan, coupled with a postgraduate training in Interventional Bronchoscopy in Ancona, Italy, he conducted researches resulting in several publications as a lead researcher or as co-researcher, in the international recognized journals. He aspires to create a smoking-free and lung disease-free country.[2]
