Rosanna Bruno
Rosanna Bruno is an American artist, known for graphic novels of classic works of literature.
Work
In 2017, Bruno published The Slanted Life Of Emily Dickinson (Andrews McMeel) and, most recently, she produced a collaboration with translator, poet, and classicist Anne Carson, a comic-book version of Euripides' The Trojan Women in 2021.[1] She has shown paintings in New York City galleries, including the Sears Payton Gallery.[2]
Awards
Bruno was awarded a New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship in painting in 2012. In addition, she received fellowships from Yaddo, the Rauschenberg Foundation, and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and her art has been published in The Paris Review, BOMB, The Toast, and The Daily Beast, among others.[3]
