Rose Parenti

Rose Parenti (1911–1996) was an American character actress known for supporting and uncredited roles in film and television productions from the silent film era through the 1990s.

Career

Parenti appeared in numerous film and television productions over the course of her career. One of her earliest known screen appearances was an uncredited role in The Ten Commandments (1923 film) (1923). She later appeared in Sunset Boulevard (1950) and made several appearances on The Jack Benny Program between 1950 and 1965.

She also appeared in multiple episodes of the television sitcom Bewitched between 1964 and 1972.

During the late 1980s and early 1990s, Parenti appeared in several comedy films, including Wicked Stepmother (1989), Speed Zone! (1989), and Spaced Invaders (1990). She is best known for playing Sister Alma in Sister Act (1992) and appearing as a choir nun in Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993).

Her final known screen appearance was an uncredited role in One Fine Day (1996).

Personal life

Parenti was born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1911. She died in California in 1996.
