New Zealand[edit]
- Alister Rowlan of Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand is a championship sailer. He won a bronze medal in the 2007 World Sailing Championship for Flying Fifteens.[3][not in citation given]
United States[edit]
During the Great Famine of the mid-19th century, several people named Rowlan immigrated to the United States from Ireland.[4] They eventually settled in Oklahoma Territory during the Land Run.[citation needed]
