Royal Consort Suk-ui of the Gimhae Gim clan (Hangul: 숙의 김씨, Hanja: 淑儀 金氏; 1833 - ?) was a member of the Joseon Royal Family as the concubine of King Cheoljong.[2]

Biography[edit]

The future Royal Consort Gim Suk-ui was born in 1833 (33rd year reign of King Sunjo) in the Gimhae Kim clan.

Initially, she was a palace maid, but after receiving seungeun (승은), she become Cheoljong's concubine and on August 5, 1856, she gave birth to a daughter who died prematurely.

Her tomb was located in Hongje-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. In 1969, it was relocated to Seosamneung, Wondang-dong, Deokyang-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.[3] On May 26, 1970, it became the Korean Historic Site No. 200.
