Rubén González Sosa
Rubén González Sosa (born August 24, 1922, in Zacatlán, Mexico) was a Mexican lawyer, diplomat and politician.[1][2]
Education[edit]
Sosa obtained a law degree in law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1946. He then pursued advanced studies at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva.[1][2]
Career[edit]
He entered the foreign service in 1946. He then taught law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1953 and 1954. He became the ambassador of Mexico to London in 1969. From 1971 to 1976, he was assistant secretary of foreign relations in the government of Luis Echeverría, whom he had befriended during his youth. In 1979, he became ambassador to the Dominican Republic, a position he held until 1982.[1][2]
