Ruby Recordings (also simply known as Ruby) is an American hip hop record label founded by American rapper Trizzy in 2015.[1] The label is currently distributed through The Orchard, a division of Sony.[2] It has been home to many artists, including Haitian Fresh, Michael Wavves, FriO Isa Blaque, JT5K, AB Tazz, Moeschino, Lifeof9000 and Steevy Franch. The label's flagship artist is its founder, Trizzy.
History
In 2015, Ruby Recordings was founded by Trizzy.[3] The label's first official release was Trizzy's debut studio album "Winners Never Quit". In September 2016, Ruby Recordings signed its first artist, rapper Haitian Fresh. Michael Wavves signed to the label that same year. In August 2017, he also signed Lifeof9000 moments after hearing his demo.
In early 2018, Trizzy signed rapper AB Tazz to the imprint. In late 2018, he also signed ReeseMoe to the imprint. On May 11, 2020, Trizzy signed Canadian rapper JT5K to the label.[4] Singer Steevy Franch was signed to the label in June 2020.[5] In early 2021, Trizzy re-signed Utica rapper FriO Isa Blaque to the imprint.[6] On March 26, 2021, Trizzy signed rapper Moeschino to the imprint.
