Ruby Red is an American synth-pop duo from Oakland, California. It was founded by multi-instrumentalists Daniel Laner and Fernando Fine in 2018.[1]
Career[edit]
Ruby Red released their debut EP Lovelock[2] in February of 2018, which they followed up with four singles, "How It Should Feel[3]," "Superbloom[4]," "Ozone[5]," and "Desert Star[6]" over the next two years. Riding a wave of singles, the duo's critically-acclaimed sophomore EP Area of Effect was released in June of 2020. The project is entirely self-produced.[7] In 2022, Ruby Red signed with Virgin Music Label & Artist Services[8] and launched their first single of the year, "Too Late (To Call)[9]," featuring co-production from Nineteen85 and DallasK.[10]
