The Long Island Rugged Maniac 5K Obstacle Course event has been held annually in Wild Mountain since 2013. The event currently takes place at the Wild Mountain Ski Area.[1]

Approximately 4,200 runners participated in the fourth annual event of Rugged Maniac in Wild Mountain on September 10, 2016.[2]
