Ruklić (variants: Ruklic, Ruklick) is a Croatian surname.[1] It derives from the old Croatian name "Ruka" (meaning "hand"), possibly referring to ancestors skilled in manual trades or woodworking.[1] The surname is relatively rare and first appeared in written documents in 18th-century Dalmatia, believed to originate from the town of Rukavac on the island of Vis.[1]

Bearers are mainly Croats, with the highest concentration in the Donja Stubica area and Zagreb County.[2] As of recent data, approximately 210 people with the surname live in Croatia.[2] The surname is also found in small numbers in the United States and Australia.[2]
