Runamukthalu (Kannada: ಋಣ ಮುಕ್ತಳು) is a 1984 Indian Kannada language film directed and co-produced by Puttanna Kanagal,[1] starring Bharathi and Ramakrishna. The film is based on the novel Runa by Anupama Niranjana.[2] The film was produced under the banner "Kanagal Creations".
The film was released in 1984 and received an average response at the box office, but won critical appraisal. Bharathi made a comeback as a lead heroine for slightly more mature roles with this movie.
