Rungta Public School (RPS) is located in the city of Bhilai in the Durg District of the state of Chhattisgarh in India. It comes under the aegis of GD Rungta Education Society. The GD Rungta Educational Society started in the year 1999, and it provides education in the fields of Engineering, Management, Dentistry, Science, Arts & Education (B.Ed & M.Ed). The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (Affiliation No.- 3330201 ) [1] [2]
The school academic year is tentatively divided as follows:
Term I: April to November Term II: November to March
The school has an AC Auditorium, Infirmary, Sports Complex, Library, Science Lab, Computer Lab, Maths Lab, Children’s Park, Canteen, Toddlers’ Pool etc. as infrastructural facilities.[3]
There are four holiday breaks during the year:
Summer holidays are around May-June
Dussehra holidays around October-November
Diwali break around November
Winter break is around December-January
Rungta Public School has hosted All Chhattisgarh IT Fest with great results.[4]
Rungta Public School has been awarded a 4-star cleanliness rating by government bodies. It adheres to all standards about drinking water, toilets, hand washing etc.[5]
Rungta Public School celebrated its fourth founders day on 1st Dec 2017.[6]
