Rushabh Amit Mehta born September 22, 1979), is an Indian Entrepreneur, software developer and Open Source software evangelist. He is the founder of ERPNext and Frappe Framework, open source projects from India.

Early Life[edit]

Rushabh borned in Mumbai in a business family, Janak Healthcare, making hospital furnitures. He studies in Matunga's Don Bosco School and did masters in Penn State University, USA. He self learned computer programming, since the school days.

In year 2005, he joined family business which was reeling from bad ERP implementation. Rushabh started developing Frappe Framework, and developed an ERP solution using Frappe.

Open Source[edit]

The ERP solution developed for Janak Healthcare was later productified. In year 2009, both Frappe Framework and ERPNext were made open-source. The source code is now accessible over Github.

ERPNext[edit]

ERPNext is a flagship and open source product of Frappe Technologies. It was developed using Frappe Framework, again developed and open source by Rushabh and Frappe Technologies.

In Year 2020, Zerodha, a largest stock brokerage company in India, and a Frappe user, invested 10 crores in Frappe Technologies to support their expansion plans.[1] [2]
